Thank you for choosing CampusCoverage.com as your source of information on International Health Coverage for US students studying abroad and foreign students studying in the US.

Foreign Students Studying in the US:

As a foreign student studying in the United States you have 3 health insurance options through CampusCoverage:

Patriot America Plan
ExPatriot Plus Plan
Global Medical Insurance Plan

Details of each of these plans are found below:

Patriot America Plan:

Policy period minimum: 15 days

The "Patriot America" plan provides coverage for non-US citizens traveling outside their country of citizenship for a minimum of 15 days up to a maximum of one year.

Although the Patriot America plan is not renewable, it can be rewritten for succeeding or subsequent coverage periods.

ExPatriot Plus Plan:

Policy period minimum: 6 months

The "ExPatriot Plus" plan provides renewable coverage for non-US citizens traveling outside their country of citizenship for a minimum of 6 months up to a maximum of 2 years.

While this plan offers the same benefits as the “Patriot America” plan, it costs 10% less because it must be purchased for a longer period of time. So, if your period of coverage is 6 months or more, you will want to consider this plan over the “Patriot America” plan.

Global Medcal Insurance Plan: (most comprehensive)

Policy period minimum: 12 months

This plan is a long term annually renewable, US style major medical insurance plan designed to provide worldwide coverage to Non-US Citizens.

The “Global Medical Insurance” plan provides access to medical care worldwide including the United States. In the United States, policy holders will enjoy a reduction in deductible and waiver of coinsurance in IMG's Preferred Provider Network of over 325,000 doctors and 3,500 hospitals.

Non-US citizens may reside anywhere including their home country, although certain eligibility requirements may apply to non-US citizens permanently residing in the US.

If your school requires you to have a policy that covers maternity as “any other illness” or other more comprehensive benefits, this is the plan you will want to purchase.
